Doctoral Theses on Foreign Languages in Andalusia (2010-2021): A Gender Analysis

The aim of this article is to study the production doctoral theses on foreign languages, from our point view as Spanish speakers, conducted in Andalusia 2010 2021 order collect total number dissertations and diachronic distribution; describe per universities, authors directors according gender; gather descriptors most used. Results show that, during period 2021, Andalusian public universities recorded 266 FL. annual average 22.16 year. representation women authorship 175 (65.78 %), opposed 91 men (34.22 %). participation direction such PhD 51.45 % for 48.55 men. In accordance with composition direction, were supervised equal percentage by both only (41.35 %) Mixed reached 17.29 %. amount 117 different was gathered. used keyword translation interpreting (22.7 conclusion, a decrease FL found at 2016. reveals that feminised field. addition, it has been confirmed mixed co-directions are unusual area.
